Product Description

The Polycab 1 kW Solar Inverter (model: PWS-1KTL) is an efficient, compact, and reliable on-grid inverter ideal for residential rooftop solar systems. It delivers a rated output of 1,000 watts and supports a wide DC input voltage range of 100V to 500V, with an MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) range of 120V to 450V. The inverter comes with a single MPPT tracker, allowing efficient solar power harvesting even under variable conditions. It can handle a maximum DC input voltage of 600V and a maximum input current of 11A.

On the AC side, the inverter outputs single-phase 230V AC at a frequency of 50 or 60 Hz (auto-detectable), maintaining a power factor greater than 0.99. With a maximum efficiency of 97.8% and European efficiency around 96.5%, it ensures optimal performance.

Key features include inbuilt DC switch, MPPT technology, anti-islanding protection, reverse polarity protection, over and under-voltage/frequency protection, and surge protection. It also offers communication options like RS485 or Wi-Fi for remote monitoring (model dependent). The inverter is enclosed in a durable IP65-rated casing, making it suitable for outdoor installation.

In terms of build, the inverter is compact and lightweight, typically weighing between 6 to 8 kg, and designed for easy wall mounting. It uses natural convection cooling and operates efficiently across a wide temperature range of –25°C to +60°C.
